Star Wars Galaxies

:shocked: OMG! They just announced the release date for Star Wars Galaxies. It's a MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) set in the Star Wars universe. I've been watching this game develop for quite some time. I plan on getting myself into this game next week when it's released, but I will definately still be playing alot of our games as well of course. I can't just play one game all the time even though it's going to probably cost about $12.95 a month to play lol. I've played some of these type of games before and kind of got tired of them after awhile, but with this being Star Wars, I don't know if I'll get tired of it at all. Eventually they'll have a space expansion where you can purchase ships and travel in space and what not. At that time I plan on trying my hand at some space pirating lol. ARGH! Give me ye credits! This game is the best MMORPG I've played. If ya'll ever consider joining in the fun with Error, Marvin and I, be sure to make a character on the "Gorath" server, as that is where our main characters are located. I plan to make another character or two eventually just to mess around with other proffesions, but you can only make one character per server and are limited to ten total characters. Who has the time for ten though? I'll post a few screenshots of some of the stuff we've been up too so far. Hehe.

To those that are mulling it over, I bought the game today. I went to five stores that were all sold out and finally went back to the first store and coughed up the extra $30 for the collector's edition because they didn't have the standard game in stock.

The guy did give me two cards for a free month of access, so I guess that makes up for the additional cost.

Very cool Scudd, glad to have you aboard. I hope you enjoy the game as much as I do. It's whatever you want it to be. I didn't buy the collectors edition myself because I didn't care about the extras that came with it, but the in game wearable sunglasses ya'll get do look pretty damn cool. I've been stupidly building my character in stuff I didn't need to bother with if I'm going into Smuggling. I have been working with rifles and carbines as well as the pistol, when really I just needed to max out to the pistol specialist and the brawler unarmed to get to the Smuggler profession. I almost really hate to sell those skills back for the points I'll need to put elsewhere, but that's what I'll have to do eventually lol. I went to 3 Best Buy's and they were all out of the standard edition but had the collector's crap...I passed. I went to a WalMart & a Target by my house and they didn't have it either. My wifey is going to stop at a couple of places on her way home from work and if they don't have it then I will just pick up the collector's edition tomorrow...
