Status Information on Teamspeak

As some of you may know, I am unable to send any kind of messages through Teamspeak, however I can receive them. When I send a message, and make a sound, the sound will always be a fuzzy noise no matter what I send. If I talk, it just sends a fuzzy sound for the duration of me talking. If I clap my hands in front of the microphone, it sends a fuzzy sound for the duration of the clapping. I don't know what the problem is. It started once I got the new harddrive. I don't know if all the drives are separate, or if all these drives are included on the new drive, but I now have Drive A, C, D, E, F, and M. There are people I can find that can look at the problem more closely, but I am also wondering if anyone else knows what might be the problem. But for the time that I cannot send messages through the microphone, I will be on Teamspeak on recieve only. If I am on Teamspeak, I'll be on ICQ also so I can send messages to everyone.

:flush:

Sounds like your buddy either added several hard drives or partitioned the new one. It's quite a process to try to trouble shoot so I won't even go in to the possibile solutions to your problem but the next time you are on I would be more than happy to help you try to find a fix.

C: should be your hard drive,D: should be your cd drive,A: should be your floppy drive,E: could be your burner if you have one ect...

And you can also have partitions on your hard drive...

I doubt thats the reason for fuzziness over TS though...

Yeah, the drives should not be causing the malfunction. Everything associated with TS should be on the same drive. I'm not too sure what I'm talking about when it comes to TS, but perhaps there is a chance that some sort of data file or a codec file got put on the wrong drive? I would uninstall TS and reinstall it to your main hard drive. I would also ask that guy what all the corresponding drives are for each letter. It may be important to know somewhere down the line, not just for TS. Make sure you write it down somewhere, or you can also rename them to make it easier to know what is what.

Here is may guess as to what each drive is, with % confidence in parenthasies.

A - Floppy Drive (90%)
C - Main Hard Drive (90%)
D - Secondary Hard Drive or a partition (60%)
E - Main CD/DVD-ROM Drive (70%)
F - Secondary CD/DVD-ROM Drive or CD Burner (70%)
M - Whatever is left, like either a partition, an external Zip drive, etc.

You'se guys fagetaboutit!

Well I know what the drives are all for. I was thinking maybe the combination of several extra drives would cause conflicts. I'll try reinstalling.

My guess is that it has something to do with your output recording device. It's not complicated to fix, it's just easier to try and trouble shoot the problem in real time.

have you tried to update your sound card driver? Have you tried re-installing TeamSpeak? Have you tried looking for any conflict between your sound card and your other devices?

Just some stuff that you might have looked over.

HTH bro!

Fixed Teamspeak today. Thanks for all the help. Earlier today I lost sound on the computer and got a friend to fix it. Fixing that fixed TS also so everything is just great.
