Hey all!

Well i got a new sound blaster live sound card. had some troubles with getting sound to work finally got it working. but now my mic isnt working any ideas?



i got my mic working with my integrated sound card thats on the mobo but i would rather it work through the sound card.

Double click on the speaker icon in the sys tray. Then go to Options-->Properties and choose the Recording radio button and click Ok. Make sure that there is a check in the Select box under Microphone. I think the default is MIDI synth. If that doesn't fix it let me know man.

Go to Control Panel-->Sound and Audio Devices. Then click on the audio tab. Is the default recording device set to your Sound Blaster card or the onboard sound?

Check the voice tab for the same thing.

Alright, make sure it is plugged into the red jack in your soundcard! Other than that, I don't know what to tell you bro. Good luck!
