Technical Issue

This morning I found that Igor is not running properly. Upon opening the EXE file, in the middle of loading, an Illegal Operation error pops up on screen. I click on details and it displays:

IGOR caused an invalid page fault in
module IGOR.EXE at 0167:005a1939.

Does anybody know what this means?
How can I fix it?

Thanks for the help

Have you tried reinstalling Ghost Recon?

Looks like the error lists off problems with something in its graphics or sounds that become in use in the program. I suggest reinstalling GR.

Do you happen to have Island Thunder?

I do have Island Thunder.

Today I found a LOG file, "IkeCrash" that recorded the incident in detail. Didn't understand it much though. Found a file like it named just "Ike", that recorded the error again when I tried to open the Igor program again, and opened that Ike file, and it looks like it did have a problem with an adapter - just a guess. It said "No windowing adapters found". I also tried opening Ghost Recon, which did not work for the same reason. I did think of reinstalling, but would do as a last resort.

Thanks

Well I found out that the game is now demanding more than what my computer can give it. I think it's mainly graphics. There is a new directx version out, maybe thats the problem. I had Island Thunder installed for awhile and it worked just fine until a few days ago. I reinstalled and still has the same problem. So most likely I won't be able to used Ghost Recon anymore. Maybe with just Desert Seige installed, but thats not much fun anymore. So now I don't have any games at all to play online, or single player for that matter, and it really really sucks.

Jay, if it worked one day and not the next I doubt that it's suddenly a problem with your graphics card - unless your card blew up. If there is a problem with your Ghost Recon install and you reinstalled over it then you probably didn't fix the problem.

Uninstall GR, delete the GR folder and clear your registry of all GR entries. Shut down your computer for a few minutes and then reinstall.

Unless Error knows an easier way [COG]

I doubt the game is suddenly demanding more from your cpu now than it was before, it just dont work that way unless you put new hardware in your cpu that isnt up to par with what you had before...

When in doubt reinstall...
