Vehicles and Needed Resources

It looks like the vehicle patch is going to go through next week. I would like to cash in on vehicle sales preferably the first day. I am pretty sure these things will go for about 100-150k, so it won't take too long to vendor them and make a killing.

Obviously I want to take care of you guys first, but I need to know what type of vehicle everyone is wanting. Just vote at the top what you would like to have the first day, and that way I can get a feel for what I need to put up on the VIP (Private) vendor to make sure everyone in COG is riding in style.

If you don't like the first choice, or want one of each, that can easily be done. It sounds like each vehicle is going to take no more than 15k steel and 5k non-ferrous. I have plenty of steel, but I could definitely use more Aluminum (non-ferrous) for both vehicles and architect stuff. I just dropped on a newly spawned site of Aluminum, and I will email the WP out when I head home for lunch today. If anyone can gather some of this stuff up, or just drop the harvs, add me as admin, and email me the WP, I can tend the harvs and email you when the resource despawns. Q has been doing this for me with ore and it has worked out nicely.

I'm going to take the middle ground between maintenance and speed. Plus, being that I like to ride bikes in RL, I gotta get my hands on a bike! Mark me down for a swoop bike.

If it's allowed I'd love to have one of each, but I have a feeling that they probably won't let us do that. So I'm looking to get a speederbike for both my guys to begin with. I'll try to drop what I've got on some alluminum for ya, but I've only got two heavy minerals of my own and plan to drop another heavy of Ethakk's on some as well for his weaponsmithing stuff. I'd definately love to zip through Theed and spam out your vendors location for vehicles on launch hehe. That'll get more traffic through the tent and an increase in sales for all of us mwuhahaha!!! I think they're supposed to have the bio engineer stuff go through at the same time so that also may get more folks to visit the shop hehe. I'll be making uber pets for us to have on that day as well. Kimoglia's anyone? Mwuhahaha!!

Yeah you can offer it up to the VIP vendor in my crafting house. Grend said you needed upgraded BER 13 harv's, so we can work a deal to trade AL for harvs if you want. If not, I can record how much you put up and make it right with vehicles or credits. I just don't want any of us to miss out on this money making opportunity.

Has anyone tried out the vehicles on the Test Center? I tested one of my characters with a swoop bike and one with a land speeder. It is virtually impossible for the land speeder to keep up with the bike.

The vehicles on TC are selling for 16 - 20k on so I am gonna pick up a couple bikes today so that I will have a vehicle to use in the future when the TC 16 day free trial runs out.

Ok, I have tested all 3 of the vehicle types on TC and here are my findings.
1. Landspeeder - The coolest looking vehicle IMO. It is also the slowest, but apparently has the best for terrain negotation.
2. Speeder Bike - Has the better of the bike designs IMO. The name implies that it is fast but it's actually slower than the swoop.
3. Swoop Bike - Supposed to be the Harley but looks like a vacuum cleaner according to Lock. It is also the fastest of the three vehicles.
