Warren Tonight?

Not sure if I am going to have time, but was thinking about doing the Warren quest with my second character tonight. Just thought I would post in case we wanted to get a group together.

Guide to The Warren

The Warren is a large, multi-level multi-puzzle dungeon located on Dantooine at loc 553 -3825. The closest base and cloning facility to this location is the Agro (Pirate) outpost, although Imperial faction members will find the Imperial Outpost just a couple hundred meters farther, which is very handy if you plan on using faction pets to assist with the fighting.

The fights in The Warren can get extremely difficult, with multiple tough creatures. Although it is possible for a single, elite profession master with pets to complete The Warren, such a character attempting to do so will likely die several times in the attempt. A group of at least four is highly recommended.

Upon arriving at The Warren, the first thing you will notice is that the front door is locked. Should you attempt to enter the front door, you will receive a message stating that you do not have a pass key. First, you must locate an NPC with the title of (an Escapee). There are several of these NPCs around the entrance to the warren, all less than 150m away. Although they do not show on Radar, they appear on the Cntrl-M map as a white dot. Converse with the NPC, and he/she will give you a waypoint to the warren main entrance, and a passkey. If you lose the passkey, don't worry - you can always go talk to the NPCs for another.

Once you are inside and spiral down several ramps, you will find yourself on level 1. Although there are are several "backround story" items located throughout the warren, these are there merely as fluff and serve no actual purpose. First, proceed to a large medical room where points 4 and 5 can be found on the Level 1 map. Here, you need to obtain Four Security Keys Numbered One thru Four (Found on level 1 map at point 5) and a Farewell letter (Found on level 1 map at point 4). The keys are located in a Metal Chest, a Magseal Container, a Locker, and a Corpse. The letter is found on the other corpse in the room. The keys respawn fairly frequently (about once every 15 minutes), so they should not be too hard to aquire. The farewell letter respawns less frequently, and every player will need their own letter to obtain a badge for the Warren, so large parties may need to return to this room several times. Next, proceed back down the hall past the destroy droideka and pick the turret disarm code (Found on level 1 map at point 6), found on a corpse near the elevator. Note the disarm code written on the data disk.

Proceed down to level 1A, and move to point 8 on the Level 1 map. There is a data terminal here, you can examine it to see the current status of the master defense turret. If the turret is currently active, you will need to /say the disarm code here. Once you do this, the status will change to Inactive, and you can proceed to the elevator located on this same level. Take the elevator UP, and pass the turret at point 9 to enter the control center. The turret MUST be disarmed before you attempt to pass it - It cannot be damaged or destroy in any way, and will instantly hit anyone or anything entering the room for over 10,000 points of damage, leaving you dead with a large amount of wounds. Once in the command center, a person carrying the four access keys from point #5 must use the terminals located at points 10-13. Simply radial clicking on the terminals from a short distance will trigger a message saying the lock is disabled. When all four locks are disabled, the elevator at point #7 will activate, allowing access to level 2. Note that once the elevator is unlocked, it is unlocked for everyone, so a large party only needs 1 set of keys.

Take the elevator down. You arrive on map Level 2, Part 2 at point #3. Immediately outside the elevator room is a large room with animals in cages. Although the cages cannot be opened, and the animals cannot be attacked, a small bug allows bio-engineers to sample DNA from some of the creatures. Parties should obtain the Evidence 1 data located at point #7, then proceed down the elevator at point #5, which will take you to the Level 2 (main) map, point #1.

From here, things get less sequential. If you proceed down to level 3A and take to an NPC named Mira (Map Level 2, Part 2, Point #2) while holding the Farewell letter from Level 1 point #4, you will receive the Warren: Compassion badge and an access code for the Inquisitor's Cell. Note that when talking to Mira, you MUST choose the "I Will" conversation option in order to receive the access code. She tells the code to you in conversation, so if you don't write it down, you will need to get the code from someone else - it changes every server reboot. The cell is located on the Level 2 (main) map at point #4. If you /say the access code at this point, the cell will open and you can obtain a Data Disk instructing you on how to receive a second badge for the warren. This data disk does not vanish when you complete the quest, so large parties need only obtain one disk (Labeled FOUO Data Disk - FOUO stand for For Official Use Only, for those who care).

Next, you will need to proceed down the elevator on the Level 2(main) map at point #11. Down here you will encounter an Altered ATST, which is the hardest fight in the dungeon. This ATST hits very, very hard, and is about as hard to kill as a normal ATST. I suggest several high level pets (having your own ATST helps a lot), at least one highly skilled healer, and a couple Bounty Hunters or Commandos with heavy weapons. Beyond the ATST, you will find two drums at points 12 and 13. Each drum contains a Reactor Rod which respawns once an hour.

Once you have the reactor rods, you will need to disable the reactor override by using the data terminals on the Level 2(main) map at points 6 and 7. Once these terminals are used, the reactor room at point #3 will be open. Enter the room and place both reactor rods into the drum. This will repair the reactor and unlock the command center. Proceed immediately to the command center located on Level 2(main) map at point #20. If the dungeon respawns before you make it to the command center, you will have to obtain the rods again, so don't dawdle. Once in the command center, you can kill Bors Teraud at encounter point E9. However, you don't need to kill him (or even fight him). You use the Evidence Terminal at point #19 to get the Evidence 4 disk, and get out of there. If you are in the control room when the dungeon resets, you will be kicked totally out of the dungeon and wind up at the entrance.

By now, you should have a Badge of Compassion, a FOUO Data Disk, and two Evidence disks in your datapad. Proceed to the Level 2(Main) map, points 10, 13, and 16 to obtain the Encryption Key and the other two Data disks. These are fairly easy to get, as all you need to do is fight some cyborg animals, walk up to the datapad, and select Download Evidence from the radial menu.

When you have the FOUO Data Disk and the Encryption Key and Evidence disks 1-4, you are ready to leave the Warren. Catch a shuttle to Theed. Just inside the Palace is an Imperial Major. Converse with him, select the "I have Evidence!" option, and you will be rewarded with the Warren: Hero badge. Congratulations, you have earned two badges and are done with The Warren.
